This was based on a photo taken around 2 AM on a boat overlooking the skyline of Chicago at my high school prom. I was a being a creeper going around and taking pictures of random groups of people to get a sort of atmosphere shot. Then I exaggerated and changed about the colors when I painted it to create this eerie glow of colors. This scene sort of reminded my of one of the grand outdoor parties described in The Great Gatsby.
